MANAGEMENT IMPARTIALITY COMMITMENT

Safeguarding the independence, objectivity and integrity of our activities.

EXPO’STAT management is committed to preserving the independence of judgement required for its validation and verification activities and to ensuring that no commercial, financial or other pressure influences the body’s work, conclusions or decisions.

Management also commits not to take part in any activity incompatible with this independence of judgement, to preserve the confidentiality of information processed and to comply with principles of ethics, impartiality and absence of conflicts of interest applicable to EXPO’STAT activities.

Where a risk to impartiality is identified — including through a relationship, inappropriate claim or action by a person, body or organisation — measures are taken to eliminate or reduce the risk to an acceptable level.

Where a service constitutes consultancy within the meaning of NF EN ISO/IEC 17029, EXPO’STAT does not validate or verify the same statement for the same client.

The formal, signed management commitment is available from EXPO’STAT on request.
COMPLAINTS & APPEALS

An accessible, monitored and impartial process.

EXPO’STAT has a documented process for handling complaints and appeals. It covers receipt, recording, analysis, treatment and notification of the decision, while respecting impartiality and non-discrimination.

Complaint

A complaint is an expression of dissatisfaction, other than an appeal, relating to EXPO’STAT activities for which a response is expected. It may be made orally or in writing.

  1. Receipt and recording of the complaint, including complainant identification, date, subject and nature of the request.
  2. Relevant EXPO’STAT managers are informed.
  3. Admissibility analysis: verification of the link with EXPO’STAT activities and collection of the necessary information.
  4. Where necessary, the complainant is contacted to clarify the reasons for the request.
  5. Implementation of necessary actions and response to the complainant.

Appeal

An appeal is a request by the provider of the verification object to reconsider a decision already made concerning that object. Appeals must be submitted in writing.

  1. Receipt and recording of the appeal.
  2. Admissibility analysis and collection of information required for review.
  3. Re-examination of the file and definition of appropriate actions.
  4. Decision made, reviewed or approved by at least one person not directly involved in the service concerned.
  5. Notification of the decision to the appellant.

Impartiality safeguard: handling a complaint or appeal does not result in discriminatory action. Where possible, EXPO’STAT acknowledges receipt, keeps the complainant or appellant informed of progress and communicates closure and the outcome.

To contact EXPO’STAT about a complaint or appeal: send your request to contact@expostat.com or by post to EXPO’STAT, 113 boulevard Aristide Briand, 91600 Savigny-sur-Orge, France. Appeals must be submitted in writing.

Document available on request: the documented complaints and appeals procedure (PRO-REC) is available on request.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Protecting entrusted information.

EXPO’STAT is responsible for managing information obtained or generated during verification activities. Unless information has been made public by the client, specifically agreed otherwise or disclosure is legally required, information handled during an engagement is treated as confidential.

Where information is intended to be made public, the client is informed in advance in accordance with applicable provisions.
